Behind the 9 Stripes Flag

In early American history, groups identifying themselves as “True Born Sons of Liberty”, “Sons of Liberty”, "Liberty Boys” and the “Daughters of Liberty” existed in almost every colony. A network soon connected groups in numerous villages and cities throughout the land. Members included many notable early American heroes, such as Paul Revere, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, and John and Samuel Adams.

In Boston, the Sons of Liberty gathered under a large elm tree, which became known as the Liberty Tree. Decorated with banners and lanterns, assemblies were regularly held under the tree to express views and vent emotions. News of the Liberty Tree spread throughout the Colonies and soon became a rallying point for the patriots.

Building the Network

Currently there are network subscribers in 47 states. States are within 25% of goals if light red, 50% of goals if medium red, and 75% if dark red. Once a State reaches its membership goal, State level officers will be appointed, and work will begin on House District level chapters.

Mission Statement

The 9 Stripes network is not a replacement for any group, website or organization. Our effort is to build consensus and bind these various groups into a cohesive grassroots movement. Members of such are encouraged to stay active in their respective memberships, and to join us here to communicate and coordinate action on the national, state and local levels. The goal of this network is to counter the current Progressive movement with a two pronged approach. This includes an organization of independent and conservative voters and candidates.

The Blueprint for the 9 Stripes network is available to all Participants upon their accepted membership. The initial focus of the 9 Stripes network is on current Progressive legislation, with emphasis on the 2010 Elections.
